About Me

Hello! My name is Barlow Cooper. I recently graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism. USC has one of the most rigorous journalism capstone programs in the country. Each day, my team and I produced a professional-level, 30-minute newscast, while rotating through various positions including producer, anchor, weather cast, sports cast, reporter, and more. This experience in my senior semester has taught me valuable lessons and skills. With our show going live at 4pm everyday, it taught me the importance of time management and being able to work well in a deadline-driven environment.

Along with my journalism experience, I also have numerous articles published in Stroll Magazine. I wrote articles on diverse topics including travel, cuisine, and family. I have been writing for Stroll since my sophomore year of college, and I will continue to write for them as a college graduate.

As I enter the workforce, I am excited to gain more experience in writing, as it has always been my passion. Ever since I was a little girl, I had always loved writing stories, journaling, and creating. My goal is to change lives with my writing, just as writing has changed mine.

“You can make anything by writing.”
